Duane Dalton’s design visualises cycling journeys, long and short, with no disruptions. The multiple dots represent cyclists. The area where the dots are dense, just over the heart, is representative of the hustle and bustle of city cycling. As the dots expand out, they become less frequent. These are people out in the countryside on a long cycle. The points marked A and B is just one journey. It shows how direct a journey on a bicycle can be, with very little obstacles, unlike that of a car, bus or train.
